After having the first potential young leaders through a rigorous evaluation, in the morning of 21 December 2013, COFICO held a breakfast gathering to start “COFICO Young Leader Programme” at Villa Song Saigon, Thao Dien Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
COFICO welcomed an honorable guest – Mr. Thomas Ho.
In the breakfast gathering, the young leaders welcomed Mr. Le Dang Xu – Chairman cum CEO of COFICO, an honorable guest Mr. Thomas Ho – CEO of Gammon Hong Kong – Member of Board of Director of COFICO and the Executives of Board of Management of COFICO.

After breakfast, the young leaders joined the discussion agenda in which Board of Director has confined their precious experience and knowledge as well as outlined the career development to all members. Especially, an outstanding subject was concerned that how to apply BIM technology into construction technique rapidly and effectively.
Mr. Le Dang Xu had an opening remark at the gathering.
Having an opening remark, Mr. Le Dang Xu showed his determination to build up this programme successfully, he committed to follow up and support every selected members; Especially, he will pay attention to benefit policies, create a professional working environment in order to motivate their efforts, simultaneously keep seeking new talents within the Company in the coming time. Mr. Le Dang Xu expected that along with company training courses, the young leaders themselves should master their expertise, foster ethics then strive for innovative actions in the near future.
Mr. Thomas Ho shared his experiences to the young leaders.
In his speech at the gathering, Mr. Thomas Ho confirmed that COFICO has followed the right directions in order to get success in the current troublesome market implied a several of risks. According to Mr. Ho, COFICO now attains great competitive advantages by having a great leader and many of young, talent, passionate employees as well as receiving the absolute supports from international shareholders such as Meada Corporation and Gammon Hong Kong. He also advised that the young leaders should start out what they have done well, master their expertise and always look for innovative opportunities. He suggested a next programme named “Leading Change Programme” with labor safety issue that would be refined and designed to match with COFICO culture then sent to the young leaders by Gammon experts.
