2021 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS

In 17th June 2022, The Annual General Meeting 2021(AGM) of Construction Joint Stock Company No 1 (COFICO) has been organized in Saigon Prince Hotel (District 1, HCMC) for reporting the Operational Highlights and Business Results in Year 2021, Proposal Business Plan in Year 2022, and voting for Boards of Directors new term 2022 – 2027. The participated ingredients in this meeting include the BOD term 2016 – 2022, the Supervisory Boards, Board of Management from COFICO representatives of Affiliates and Shareholders.

Mr. Ha Thanh Man – COO of COFICO did report the Business Result in Year 2021 and Business Plan in Year 2022. In general, construction companies in 2021 faced a sharp decline in revenue and profits. In addition, recovery of debts was more difficult because business performance of the investors was affected as well. Since 4/2021, the outbreak of the COVID-19 had seriously affected the entire Vietnamese economy. As Q3/2021, the implementation of bidding packages was postponed, leading to a limited number of bidding packages on the market and high-competitive requirements that lead to the significant influence of Business Plan and Financial Factors in Year 2021.

Mr Le Dang Xu – Chairman COFICO has shared his idea in the meeting. He emphasized one of the most necessary character of constructional engineers is GRIT. In the long-term development, he also declared that the Company would increase in applying BIM and BIM-based applications – the core technology of managing and operating projects of General Constructor COFICO – in order to create a breakthrough for the Company as well as become one of applying BIM leaders in Construction industry. He also affirmed that COFICO’s strategic shareholder called Maeda Corporation would continuously accompany with COFICO in HR development, BIM technology at present and in the future, ensuring to meet requirements of high-quality workforce in Construction industry in general and in upcoming strategic projects of the Company.

The meeting was finished successfully with BOD voting result and Business Plan in Year 2022 agreed by all BOD and shareholder members.
