At the end of November 2024, COFICO once again reaffirmed its successful collaboration with its strategic shareholder, Japan’s MAEDA Corporation, through the completion of the Riken Vietnam Factory project, invested by Riken Vietnam Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Riken Technos Corp., located in the VSIP II-A Industrial Park.

This factory specializes in producing synthetic plastic compounds and related plastic materials on a 7.5-hectare site, with a total registered investment capital of USD 38 million and an annual production capacity of 32,000 tons. In Asia, Riken Vietnam Co., Ltd. represents the second fully-owned factory by Riken Technos Corp., aimed at expanding the Asian market and enhancing supply capabilities for customers across the region, particularly in Vietnam.

The Riken Binh Duong project was executed to meet the strictest Japanese standards, from design and manufacturing to construction, emphasizing the highest levels of safety. As part of the supporting industries sector, this project aligns with the province’s current development plans and strategic goals for attracting supporting industries. The factory’s operations contribute to a significant breakthrough in the province’s economic restructuring, fostering the growth of supporting industries.
