COFICO Annual General Meeting 2012

On 05th August 2013, COFICO succesfully held the Annual General Meeting 2012 (AGM) at Legend Hotel – HCMC. The Annual General Meeting honourably welcomed all COFICO Board of Directors (BOD), shareholders and Board of Management.

Mr. Le Dang Xu – Chairman cum CEO of COFICO chaired at the AGM.

Beside the main contents such as business result in 2012, business plan in 2013 and proposals of BOD, the Annual General Meeting 2012 reached a consensus that Mr. Masakazu Noguchi – representative from the strategic shareholder – Maeda Corporation was officially appointed to be COFICO new member of BOD in term of 2011 – 2015.

Mr. Masakazu Noguchi said: “By the event that Maeda has acquired capital in COFICO, I am convinced that the trust between us will further strengthen without doubt.  For that, I will do my best, for which I appreciate supports and guidance from all of you”.

On this occasion, Mr. Thomas On Sing HO, CEO of Gammon Hong Kong, and member of COFICO BOD congratulated COFICO and Maeda on the success and showed his positive forecast on the coming up development of COFICO to be an international contractor.

Passing the year 2012 along with many of difficulties and challenges in the context of long lasting global economic crisis, COFICO has tried all our best in order to maintain the business targets, stabilize the relating factors and reach the requirement of international cooperation strategy all which had been planned in the AGM 2011. COFICO with the cooperation of strategic shareholders, particularly the shareholders from international construction corporation such as Gammon and Maeda, has been continuously building up a firm management system to face the coming up opportunities and challenges.
