The Annual General Meeting 2014 (AGM)

In 04^th July 2015, The Annual General Meeting 2014 (AGM) of Construction Joint Stock Company No 1 (COFICO) has been held in Duxton Hotel (D1, HCMC). The purpose of this meeting is reporting about the Y2014’s KPI, Y2015’s business plan and voting new members of BOD and Supervisory Board of Cofico.

The BOD include: Mr Le Dang Xu – Chairman cum CEO, Mr Masakazu Noguchi – Representative of Maeda, Mr Thomas On Sing Ho – Representative of Gammon Construction and Mr Vu Tien Quoc Binh have participated. And there were also the attendance of Supervisory Board, Directors and Managers from Cofico and relating Affiliates.

We all agreed to nominate Mr Hee Wee Tan and Mrs Nguyen Thi Bich Kieu to be new members of BOD in the period 2011 -2015.

The Y2014’s KPI was reported by Mr Le Dang Vinh – COO of Cofico. 2014 is not an easy year for construction market, however, Cofico has got the gross profit growth rate is 6.3% and awarded in Vista Verde – it seems a main point project developed by Capitaland. It’s a good signal for the next couple years.

Represent for Gammon Construction – Mr Thomas On Sing Ho – the member of BOD has a speech “How to prepare ourselves for a bigger and better business” to the meeting attendees. In which, he did emphasized the Human Development with slogan “People, People, People – Talent, Talent, Talent” is one of the most priority things besides the immanent strength. It’s the key role of any corporate in any circumstances. Mr Thomas also confirmed that Gammon will always support Cofico in term of Human Resource development.

Following it, Mr Le Dang Xu – Chairman cum CEO of Cofico has addressed. With more than 40 years in construction, along with the development of Cofico brand name, Mr Xu shared his confidential and his belief in new generation of the company – who may make a contribution for Cofico to reach a new height. They are the young and well-educated talents, bringing in dream of our community, our company and their family. That’s what the meaning of “Be responsible for our dreams” (Erin Cummings) – the new motto which the Chairman has announced.

The meeting was finished successfully with the KPI and Business Planning for 2015 have been agreed by all BOD and shareholder members.
