In early May 2024, Construction Corporation Number 1 – COFICO had the honor of receiving the “Commendation for outstandings in labor safety and hygiene work in 2023,” signed on May 3, 2024, by the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
COFICO and the Company’s Leadership Board have always prioritized and aimed to provide a safe working environment for all stakeholders, neighboring areas, and have responsibilities towards the community, prioritizing environmental friendliness. To achieve the goals and achievements as mentioned above in 2023, strong commitment from the Company’s Leadership Board in labor safety, hygiene, and environmental protection at all ongoing projects is a prerequisite.
“Safety first” is the principle that has been condensed into a core value widely disseminated throughout the Company and serves as a guiding principle in construction activities to ensure the safest working environment for laborers. The achievements in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) work in recent years are the result of a process of developing and maintaining a long-term HSE system, reaffirming once again the core values of “Respect – Trust – Teamwork – Safety,” building COFICO stronger and more sustainable with each passing day.
