OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF SAMSUNG R&D CENTER

On the morning of December 23, 2022, Samsung Group held the Official Opening Ceremony of the Samsung new Research and Development Center (R&D) in Tay Ho Tay Urban Area (Hanoi) – marking a new development of science and technology in Vietnam. The participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chairman of Samsung Group Lee Jae Yong at the event showed the importance of the Project, not only for Samsung, but also for Vietnam, as well as for with the strategic cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea.




Since its establishment in 1975, COFICO has been constantly changing, improving and developing over the years with the rise of the country. In addition to Ho Chi Minh City area, COFICO also contributes to building memorable attractions in Hanoi Capital with many typical projects. For COFICO, the new Research and Development (R&D) Center project is the result of the team’s efforts during the COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam.

With an investment scale of about USD 220 million, with a floor area of 79,511m2, this is said to be the largest R&D center in Vietnam of Samsung. This project will be a place to enhance the research capacity of young Vietnamese engineers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data), 5th Generation Technology, … – is the premise for Vietnam to immerse in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
