Recently, COFICO team has continued to successfully collaborate with our strategic shareholder MAEDA Corporation Japan to complete the KRAFT OF ASIA PAPERBOARD & PACKAGING factory of MARUBENI Corporation Japan. This project is built on land area over 15ha, including many sections such as office block, factory area, warehouse building, etc. and has been handed over in full compliance with all requirements regarding quality, safety and progress.
The project has a total investment of over US$200 million (100% of foreign invested capital from Japan) and specializing in the production of carton paper such as Kraft, Liner paper and Medium corrugated paper. This is also the first paper factory of MARUBENI Japan in Ba Ria Vung Tau province. This project is operated using full Japan-standard technology and operational management.
Together with the IGUACU VIETNAM SOLUBE COFFEE Manufacuturing Plant, this KRAFT OF ASIA PAPERBOARD & PACKAGING project is expected to contribute significantly to the development of industrial activities of Vietnam in general, and of the Southern major economic zones in particular. At the same time with providing employment opportunities and contributing to local budget. From here will provide high quality products, made in Vietnam, exporting around the world.
