On July 18, 2012, COFICO’s Department of Labor Safety started a new training session on “Works with strict labor safety requirements”. The training session commenced with a presentation on “Electrical safety at construction sites”. According to a statistics of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids & Social Welfare in 2011, electric shock accident ranked 2nd among the most common causes of fatal injuries, just after the slip and fall accidents, with 77 deaths, accounting for 13.41% of the total number of deaths due to occupational accidents.
This training course aims to provide electricians and labor safety supervisors with a thorough understanding of their responsibilities, the rules of electrical safety, preventive measures and the inspection of electrical safety procedures at construction sites.
