COFICO Annual General Meeting 2011

On August 4th 2012, at Legend Hotel – HCMC, the Annual General Meeting Year 2011 of Construction Joint Stock Company No.1 – COFICO was successfully held by the shareholders’ strong consensus.

On behalf of Meeting Executive Board, Mr. Le Dang Xu – Chairman and CEO of COFICO presided the meeting to approve Report of Board of Directors on Business Results in 2011, Proposal of Business Plan in 2012 and other key proposals in 2011 – 2012.

Especially, the strategic shareholder – Gammon Construction Limited initially joined the Annual General Meeting of COFICO, has been represented by Mr. Thomas On Sing HO – CEO of Gammon who was officially appointed to be a member of Board of Directors. Mr.Thomas On Sing Ho represented in the meeting: “I was really honored to be appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors. I am glad to be part of the COFICO family. I am coming here to learn and to contribute”. His speech about the role of technology and BIM (Building Information Modeling) sent the strong messages to COFICO’s development in the near future.

In 2012, COFICO will maintain the strategy that focuses on construction industry, stabilize all of operating factors, especially the human resource operation, improve the strategic partnerships with Gammon Construction Limited (Hong Kong), Maeda Corporation (Japan) and others, concentrate on the projects with prestigious investors in order to maximize company’s profit, ensure shareholder’s benefit, improve employees’ income and contribute to community’s benefit as well.
