COFICO proudly accredited OHSAS 18001:2007 system

On January 6th 2012, Construction joint stock company no.1 – COFICO has officially received OHSAS 18001: 2008 certificate, accredited by BSI Vietnam organization for the establishment and Implementation of COFICO’s Occupational Health and Safety series (OHSAS). COFICO is one of the first Contractors in Vietnam who has been successfully implementing OHSAS system honorably recognized by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). The accreditted OHSAS 18001:2007 has proved COFICO Top management’s commitments in establishing a healthy and safe working environment to all employees and stakeholders.

Accreditation of OHSAS certificate has evaluated the continuous endeavor of COFICO’s top management and staffs for the effective improvements in management, business performance in accordance to the standard safety and healthy manner. COFICO is forwarding to the target of “Zero accident” created to the workplace and those affected by our works. In a Safety training program, Mr. Le Dang Xu, COFICO CEO, said: “At COFICO, we commit to provide a safe workplace to all related parties, including COFICO’s staffs, suppliers and subcontractors, clients, visitors and even surrounding  COFICO sites ”. We believe that all potential hazards are preventable at every project by perception toward safety, effort of risk prevent of each individual supported in parallel with technical measures and control systems with only purpose “Working at site and going home safely everyday. COFICO’s members must consider those our culture and take actions accordingly. COFICO will not exist and develop sustainably if those values are not being taken into account”.
