Cooperation between COFICO and Gammon Construction Limited

On 14/11/11, Mr. Le Dang Xu – Chairman and CEO of COFICO had a meeting with the high rank officers of Gammon Construction Limited, Mr. Thomas Ho – CEO and Mr. Sam Houston – Executive Director responsible for the Gammon Company’s finance at the headquarter of Gammon Construction Limited in Hong Kong.

At the meeting, the extension of the long term relationship in cooperation and investment in construction between the two companies was focused.

Along to the cooperation plan up to next year, COFICO and Gammon have joined in execution of several large scale projects in the 2 central cities of Vietnam, Hochiminh City and Hanoi. Following the cooperation program on all aspects between the 2 companies, aside from the business development, COFICO has started the program of exchange staffs for training purpose in project management competence, advanced technologies applied in high rise building projects, especially the finishing work for complex building conformed to the international standards. In 2010, COFICO had sent several Project Directors, Safety Managers and Project Managers, technical department managers to Hong Kong to work on site in Gammon’s typical projects. In 2011, technical key staffs, engineers will continue to participate in working program at Gammon in Hongkong. Gammon also sent a Project Director to work permanently in Vietcombank Tower project executed by COFICO.

 

Belong to the strategy of business development in Asia, COFICO is gradually speed up and strengthen the relationships with strategic partners who are leading international construction corporations in area such as Gammon Construction Corporation, Maeda Construction Corporation and other long-standing partners . With this development strategy, COFICO believes that it will create a vigorous change in management, performance and evaluation system and is prepared to encounter the challenges in the future
