The Board of Directors (BOD) of Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (COFICO) has officially appointed Mr. Nguyen Vu Thach, currently the Permanent Deputy General Director, to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from August 3, 2024. This decision, unanimously approved by the BOD, marks a significant milestone in the company’s development journey.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Thach, a graduate of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2002, began his career in the construction industry as a supervision specialist on several major projects, including the Mercedes-Benz Vietnam factory, PEB Steel factory, and the Dung Quat oil refinery. Through his dedication and extensive expertise, Mr. Thach quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the industry.
Joining COFICO in 2009, Mr. Thach has been with the Company for nearly 15 years, holding several key positions such as Site manager, Division Director, and Project Director for notable projects like the Saigon Pearl Luxury Apartment in Ho Chi Minh City, Mien Dong International Hospital, and the Habitat Apartment in Bình Dương. His exceptional management and leadership skills have been demonstrated through the successful execution of complex projects, including the Viettel Office Building, the City Party Committee Office, Vista Verde Apartments, Estella Heights Phase 2 Complex Apartments, Nam Hoi An Resort, and the Samsung R&D Center.
Beyond his project management roles, Mr. Thach also oversees the ESC Engineering Service Center, which plays a critical role in providing advanced technical solutions, improving processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction. His strategic vision and collaboration with major domestic and international partners have positioned Mr. Nguyen Vu Thach as a key leader, significantly contributing to COFICO’s ability to overcome challenges and achieve success in recent years.
With nearly 23 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thach will work alongside the Board of Management and the Board of Directors to fully leverage COFICO’s strengths, drive new innovations, and harness support from top experts both domestically and internationally. His leadership will be instrumental in propelling the Company to new heights and achieving continued success.
